Velocity Urgent Care (now solely owned by Sentara Health) is actively looking for qualified Radiologic Technologists. As aRadiologic Technologistwith Velocity, you will work directly with a Provider Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic Radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications.

Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.

Full-Time, Part-Time, and Flexi Shifts

Required Qualifications:

  • AART Certification Required or
  • Registry eligible graduate acceptable in lieu of cert

Clinic ours - 8:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm. Scheduled hours and shifts may vary based on business need and candidates availability.

Job Summary

Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic Radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications.

Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must be registered within 90 days of hire. Licensed Rad Tech required for staff employed in Virginia.

Qualifications:

TS - Trade School Graduate: Radiologic Technology (Required)

ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) - Certifications - Other/National, Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Radiologic Technologist License - State license - North Carolina, Radiologic Technologist License - State license - Other/National, Radiologic Technologist License - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
